Empty Spaces (2014-15)

These altered giclées (18” H x 16” W each) evoke the way in which we seek patterns and features in unfamiliar landscapes. The underlying images come from photographs, ink drawings, and one of my scientific publications, and the prints are further embellished with pen and ink as well as needle and thread.
